We are looking for an accomplished product management professional with recognized product management experience, extensive K–12/EdTech experience, and a proven ability to turn market opportunities into successful products.

This role goes beyond managing features and development timelines. You'll own product strategy, evaluate market demand, guide investment decisions, and drive measurable adoption, instructional impact, and revenue growth.

At Instructional Empowerment, our mission is to end generational poverty and eliminate achievement gaps through rigorous Tier 1 instruction that ensures deeper learning for ALL students.

What You'll Do

Lead Product Strategy & Innovation

  • Own the MOI 4DL product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle, aligning priorities with customer needs, market opportunities, and organizational goals.

  • Identify emerging trends, competitive advantages, and technologies that enhance product value and instructional impact.

  • Translate customer insights and market research into strategic product decisions and development priorities.

Champion the K–12 Customer

  • Understand the instructional challenges facing district leaders, school administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers.

  • Use customer feedback, school visits, market research, and product data to identify opportunities and improve product adoption.

  • Apply knowledge of K–12 funding, procurement, and purchasing decisions to develop solutions that meet customer and market needs.

Drive Product Performance & Business Results

  • Manage product performance with a profit-and-loss mindset, including revenue, profitability, pricing, and return on investment.

  • Develop business cases, financial forecasts, and market assessments to guide product investments.

  • Monitor adoption, engagement, customer retention, instructional outcomes, and revenue performance to inform strategic decisions.

Lead Cross-Functional Execution & Go-to-Market Success

  • Partner with engineering, product development, marketing, sales, and customer success to deliver high-value solutions.

  • Define product requirements, prioritize development initiatives, and guide Agile teams through successful releases.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on positioning, launches, sales enablement, and strategies that generate qualified leads and revenue growth.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience in K–12 education or EdTech, including demonstrated ownership of product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, and product lifecycle decisions, along with a strong understanding of instructional products and district purchasing processes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, Marketing, Education, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional preparation.

  • At least 3 years of experience working with Agile software development teams.

  • Demonstrated experience evaluating market opportunities, developing business cases, and using financial and performance data to guide product decisions.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, financial, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Ability to work remotely within the Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Business, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Recognized professional product management certification, such as Pragmatic Institute, Product School, AIPMM Certified Product Manager (CPM), or a comparable credential.
  • Agile-related certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe.

  • Experience managing K–12 instructional software, professional learning platforms, school improvement solutions, or SaaS products.

  • Prior experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, or school leader.

  • Experience owning product revenue, profitability, pricing strategies, or profit-and-loss performance.

  • Success partnering with Product Marketing and Sales on go-to-market strategies and product launches.

What Will Make You Successful

You're a strategic thinker who understands that successful product management requires more than delivering features. You know what to build, why it matters, who will buy it, and how to measure its success.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
