Are You an Educator Ready to Make an Impact Beyond the Classroom?
Join the Instructional Empowerment Team and Combine Your Passion for Education with a Customer-Centered Mindset
Are you a current or former K–12 educator with a knack for connecting with people, solving problems, and staying organized? Are you looking to use your education experience in a new way by helping school leaders identify solutions that support their goals while building strong, responsive customer relationships?
At Instructional Empowerment (IE), we’re looking for a relationship-focused, results-oriented educator to join us as a Customer Relationship Specialist (CRS). In this role, you’ll work with school leaders who have expressed interest in IE and Marzano Evaluation Center (MEC) products and services, guiding them from initial conversation through quotes, purchase decisions, and ongoing support.
The CRS role combines customer relationship management, consultative conversations, transactional sales, and cross-functional coordination. Success comes from strong communication, attention to detail, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to keep opportunities and customer needs moving forward.
Why This Role Could Be a Great Fit
Bring Your K–12 Perspective: Your experience working in a school setting can help you communicate confidently with school leaders and understand the language, priorities, and day-to-day realities of K–12 education.
Build Meaningful Customer Relationships: Serve as a consistent point of contact for school and district leaders, helping them navigate questions, next steps, and available IE and MEC solutions.
Help Customers Move from Interest to Action: Guide leads and existing customers through the purchase process by understanding their needs, recommending appropriate options, preparing quotes, and maintaining consistent follow-up.
Own Your Work and Keep Things Moving: Manage customer communication, follow-up, opportunities, and next steps with a high level of organization, initiative, and attention to detail while contributing to team and revenue goals.

What You’ll Be Doing
🔹 Manage Leads and Transactional Sales

  • Partner with Marketing and other internal teams to follow up with assigned leads and guide potential customers through the purchase process.
  • Conduct discovery conversations with school leaders to understand their needs and connect them with relevant IE and MEC products and services.
  • Prepare and revise quotes, communicate next steps, and maintain consistent follow-up through purchase decisions and receipt of purchase orders.
  • Manage assigned opportunities in Salesforce by documenting customer communication, maintaining accurate records, and keeping follow-up tasks and next steps current.
🔹 Build and Maintain Customer Relationships
  • Build trust with school and district leaders through responsive, consistent, and customer-centered communication.
  • Serve as an ongoing point of contact, helping answer questions and connecting customers with the appropriate internal teams when additional support is needed.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers through proactive check-ins related to product use, additional needs, and renewals when applicable.
  • Reengage previous leads and customers when appropriate to support current needs and maintain relationships.
🔹 Support Product Adoption and Ongoing Engagement
  • Help customers transition from purchase to use by ensuring they know where to go for implementation, technical, or service-related support.
  • Use available customer, Salesforce, or product usage information when appropriate to inform follow-up conversations and identify areas where additional support may be helpful.
🔹 Recommend Solutions Based on Customer Needs
  • Listen to customer goals, challenges, priorities, and budget considerations to help identify appropriate products, services, or levels of support.
  • Explain available options clearly and help customers determine which solution best fits their current needs and resources.
🔹 Collaborate Across Teams to Support Customers
  • Communicate customer needs, questions, and concerns to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, Operations, Fulfillment and Scheduling, and other teams to support a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain ownership of customer questions or issues that require internal coordination, keeping the customer informed until the appropriate next step or resolution is reached.

What You’ll Bring

2–3 years of recent K–12 experience, preferably within the last 5–7 years, with a strong understanding of school environments, educator needs, and K–12 terminology

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
